SAH Bleeding ten months post-op

Imagine my surprise when, after going to the washroom, I saw brown blood when I wiped! Ten months after SAH (cervix & ovaries remain).

I had PMS symptons a couple of weeks ago and then this. It lasted about 3 days, mostly brown (old) blood, but there was a little bit of bright red. I didn't need to wear a pad, just showed on the TP. Hadn't had sex for about 10 days before this.

Called OB/GYN who says probably endometrial tissue that was left...I have read about mini periods and sleepy ovaries...I just thought that it would have happened by now. Doc is not worried but does want to see me so I've got an appt for 2 weeks from now.

Ughghg...after so many years of bad periods due to huge fibroids... I thought this was behind me!

Anyone else start up after so many months?

Yes. Me too except this month I've had spotting every week. E-mailed my doc. Very concerned!

From what I understand, if you kept your cervix and ovaries, mini periods are very likely.
