4 weeks and improving.

Hi, all you 4-weekers-

This is a dangerous time, because I feel well enough to move around more than I should.

I have good days and bad, like all of you. I try to do most activities early in the day, 'cuz I get very tired as the day goes on.

My first long social activity occured last Sunday. We went to a wedding. I was nervous about being stuck either standing around a lot or sitting in a folding chair. It turned out that the wedding was on a small ship that cruised around San Diego Bay and I was able to ensconce myself on a comfy couch in the lounge for most of the day. What luck!

Still pain and swelly belly, but I actually have moments when I DON'T think about my surgery. Imagine that!

Love and good health to you all...

Lynn

4 weeks and improving.

Hi. Sounds like you are coming along. I, too, am just over 4 weeks. Had my 4 week checkup and good so far. I was even released to by "loving." Not attempted that yet...poor hubby..haha.

I know what you mean about overdoing. I think I feel so good early in the day that I do lots of laundry, dishes, etc and then now I walk some too...by the end of the evening..ouch. It hurts.

Guess you still have to ease into things and stop if you think you are overdoing it.

I wish you a speedy recovery over the next few weeks.

4 weeks and improving.

Morning sisters.
I'm 5 weeks today, and feeling good.Dr released me to resume normal activities at two weeks with a 10 pound lifting limit.I went back to work 2 days later. It was'nt as bad as i thought it was going to be,just the first 3 days i was super tired when i got home, but doing just fine now.I have no pain, just alittle swelly belly at bed time, which makes it hard to sleep on my left side.I'm blessed with a great bunch of co workers who wont let me do much, and keep telling me to go rest.I hope you have a uneventful recovery and continue to do well.

Lynn
