How long to get back into active sports?

I ride my horse ALOT, just not recently! DH and I also ride ATV's.

How long before "jiggling" sports are allowed?

I'm going nuts.....we are in the midst of the perfect time of year to do these things. Not too hot, not too cold. This sitting around and taking it easy stuff is for the lazy birds!

Check with your DR. My guess would be at least 6-8 weeks. There are hundreds of internal stitches that have to heal. "Jiggling" isn't going to do them any good. JMHO

Diva, I'm physically active and was cleared to resume running and playing softball at six weeks post op. Even so I waited an additional week before running again (yeah, I was a little nervous) and played sparingly my first few softball games.

Definitely check with your doctor.

I saw my Dr. yesterday to reconfirm everything he will be doing and to answer all those questions.

He said the soonest would be 4 weeks, probably 6. I am so surprised, I thought he would say at least 8 to 10 weeks. I am going to go with the advice of the Sisters here and take the full 8 weeks to recuperate and take it from there.
