sore belly after eight weeks

I'm feeling almost back to normal, having had my surgery on July 26. Still not lifting heavy objects and the like. Lately, though, I'm feeling a new kind of soreness above my incision and I'm wondering if this is normal. It's hard to describe, it feels like a combination of sore muscles and a bruise. I'm guessing that it has to do with all those nerves coming back to life after being cut, but I'd love to hear from you all about this. Also feel a weird kind of pressure that accompanies the soreness. Any insights from my sisters out there would be appreciated!

sore belly after eight weeks

I had my surgery the day after yours. My belly is still sore or sore in a "new" too. My lower back aches as well. I haven't been doing anything different either, unless it is getting in and out of a car more. I am getting tired of being sore. I go back to work on Monday and not really looking forward to it. I am hoping getting back on a schedule will help. I guess everyday is a new day feeling different and it could be 3, 6 or 12 before we are back to our new normal.

I am still sore too. I am 12 weeks out, had THA/BSO/mini tummy tuck June 26, 07. It still hurts to bend over to pick up stuff or to squat. I don't like clothes or even putting vit e oil on the scar, just don't like anyone touching it.
Today I tried to shovel corrals and rake and some of those motions hurt to do that too.
It'll just take time to heal.

Thanks for your input. I just started the vitamin E oil, myself, and I feel exactly the same! It's a relief to know it's all normal. Good luck with the healing, and thanks for being there.

sore belly after eight weeks

I had my TAH RSO (previous left LSO) on August 1st and I still have a weird feeling if I bump anything against my stomach. It is still a numb feeling. I actually had an itch and could not scratch it b/c it felt so weird and even when I scratched I could not feel it so the itch was still there... it drove me nuts. I still get sore with certain things too so I guess it is all part of our healing process.
