spotting @ 3ks after overdoing - no biggie?

Hi sisters! I need to ask for your help on what I hope is no biggie...

I'm at 3 wks and yesterday drove into town myself the 1st time (freedom!!) & with my DD's help did several errands & went out to lunch. She did most of short in-&-out stops while I waited in the car, although I did walk around 2 stores (1st time for that as well). No pain, although I was tired & sore after we got back. After cooking a big dinner & then relaxing, I noticed some light colored spotting (turned brownish this morning). Although it was light, it startled me because I haven't had any spotting up until this point. I figure some of the soreness might be because I would normally have my period now (Goodbye forever - yippee)! Is this spotting ok? I was worried if maybe I overdid it & that might have caused it - yesterday was my busiest day yet since my TAH. What do you think? I realize this isn't a major deal compared to what some sisters are going throught, but I'm concerned I might have mildly screwed up?

Thanks in advance, Karen

It could be that your internal stitches are starting to dissolve.

Generally speaking a brownish discharge is less worrysome than bright red. However, I would counsel calling your dr in the a.m. and saying what is going on.

the dr might clarify that there is nothing to worry about -- or you might be invited in for a quick check up -- either way, you'll get some peace of mind.

let us know how you are doing.

Thanks Cheryl, I think I will call my Dr tomorrow morning. Of course this happens during the weekend, when her office is closed... Murphy's Law, eh?
