Energy = Roller Coaster Ride = Any Suggestions?

My status - TAH on Thurs., 2/21. I'm officially at the two week mark and feeling pretty good, but boy is it a roller coaster ride. When I start feeling really good I've found myself overdoing it and then I crash and burn. It still hurts to cough or sneeze. It feels like my gut it going to explode.

Dr told me yesterday at my post-op appointment that the incision is healing fine. They had taken the 19 staples out when I left the hospital but there were a few "strips" of tape holding me together still. Now that is all gone. They cut the 9 inch incision right across the scar from C-section. It looks pretty gross but is healing nicely according to the doctor.

Dr said not back to work full time yet. I can go back half days only sitting at desk and stairs still only once a day for two weeks. He said pathology didn't find anything unusual, which is good. My uterus weighed twice as much as a normal uterus (What does a normal uterus weigh? Anyone?) and I had 8 fibroids ranging from 1 cm to 2 cm each in there. No wonder I had several miscarriages and was in so much pain. Also said the endometriosis wasn't too bad and cleaned it off other organs. So I have to go back to see him in 4 weeks. Still hasn't released me fully yet. He is worried about my energy level and tried to remind me that I'm still healing and to not overdue it.

It is really hard, because at times I do feel fine. Tummy is sore but nothing that Tylenol won't help at this point. The days I overdue it I do pay at night with some pain. I'm not a patient person and I'm ready for this to all be over. Guess God is trying to teach me to take care of myself.

DH & DD have been troopers through it all. DH has been wonderful, cooking, cleaning and taking care of DD. She and him have bonded big time. It is good to see.

Any suggestions for keeping tabs on energy level? Any suggestions on types of multi vitamins? Guess the Pre-natal multi vitamins that I've been taking the past 5 years trying to conceive can leave the pantry now....

Thanks
