LSH When will the funky smell end.

Hey ladies is been a few days since I been able to get on my iPod or computer. Hope all are well !.

Now on with his post I have a LSH with cervix repair and cystoles repair ? I think I wrote it wrong but they use mesh to repair my bladder.... And finally had a perioneoplasty done. You can imagine the stitches inside me. So since surgery 3 weeks and 2 days ago I have a weird smell that has been bothering me. I have read in the forum from other ladies why this happens .... Old blood ... Dissolving stitches ..... I can't remember what else but how long will this actually last.....????

Before surgery I was do freaking scared of odors coming out of me ... Just being me .... Now this funky odor ? As ***** as I may be if this stays for too long I think I'll never have sex again. Sorry for the TMI .... But is so umcomfy to know that's the smell that have to deal with ....

My question is how long did it take you ladies till ur ...you know what smelled normal again ?

I noticed an odor as well. Kind of an earthy smell or a little "unwashed". It lasted less than a week for me. Sounds like you have a lot of stitches so you can probably expect it to last longer. If it smells foul make sure you let your doctor check you over.

I noticed this really bad odor after my hysto in January, and now again (one week) after A & P repair, but now it is worse!! No matter how clean I try to keep myself. Like others have said, there's an odor as sutures dissolve, along with whatever discharge accompanies the dissolving process. Mine started within the first week this time, but after my hysto., it was 2 weeks and seemed to last about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. yuck. Seems to be different for everyone. Hang in, it will get better, just the way it is.

I am a slow healer ... = ( specially after tearing for both my labors..... i guess i hang in there and hope it will end soon. Thank you so much ladies for you feed baclk it means alot.
