vaginal hyster/kept overies and cervix

Ihad vaginal hysterectomy 4-19-11 and so I'M 1 WEEK OUT OF SURGRY AND STARTED THIS CLEAR DISCHARGE........VERY WORRIED,,,,a small amount of pink color.......thoughts? I have tried to rest so much... get up to do very little.. and still..?? this... worries me.

Did you have a TVH? Your profile says you had a TVH and if you did, your cervix would have been removed because it is basically destroyed during a TVH.

Some discharge/bleeding can happen during the first few weeks of recovery as normal healing takes place and stitches dissolve. Whenever in doubt, give your doctor a call just to put your mind at ease.

I'm 3 weeks post TVH and still have some discharge. Clear to pink. My Dr has said it is normal. If you have a fever or start bleedig to soak a pad an hour, call your Dr. And when in doubt, call, just for the comfort. Hope your healing goes well.

Thank you so much... I've done an enormous amount of reading... I just didn't understand where it was coming from really... and why.. as everything has been so fine.. I wondered if I was doing a little to much... I really don't feel I am... but... those around think I am... but seriously...if washing a few dishes and tossing a load of clothes down the steps instead of carrying them in the basket ... is to much... wow. This could drive me insane.. no vacuumming... nothing crazy... so this just has be somewhat puzzled.

I did have only uterus removed... my overies and cervix is supposed to be left.

The cervix isn't a separate organ, it's the lower portion of the uterus. Be sure to ask your doctor so you'll know for sure.
