Question after D&C

When you have a D&C, the lining of the uterus is "scraped" out so that you can have less or no bleeding, but your ovaries can still cycle. Depending on what was causing your pain and why you had the D&C, it may not have helped with your pain. I had my D&C for continuous bleeding, and I did not stop bleeding after my D&C. I bleed for 7 more weeks, right into OR for my hyst.

Here is a link to info about a D&C: http://www.obgyn.net/women/features/D_C.htm.

Talk to your dr about your questions and concerns. s
