Question about pain pre-op !

Hi Sisters,

Today I am having a sharp, coming-and-going pain on my left side, below my rib cage. I am scheduled for a TAH on Tuesday, but I am too afraid to see a doctor about the pain, because I don't want my TAH rescheduled. I have endometriosis and recently diagnosed with adenomyosis. Does/ did any sisters on here have this kind of pain with endo/adeno ? I am thinking the pain is just related to the HUGE uterus I currently have ! LOL ! Thanks for any info / advice.....

i've had gas pains like that before... maybe it is just gas???

i think you should probably see a doctor about it though....... sorry to say.....

I was having some pretty sharp pains on my left side the past couple of days..kind of like a stabbing sharp one. I have never had that before, they are gone today though. I'd say you probably should call yorur doc considering you date is so close...Mine is 2 weeks out.

I do get pains like that, on my right side, but usually not that high up. Yesterday I had one midway between my rib cage and the lowest part of my right abdomen, almost where it joins the leg. That's where I usally get my stabbing pain. I sometimes have to take pain relief for it, and it once sent me to the hospital. It usually doesn't come and go, though, its constant. I get all kinds of weird pain - its nasty.

I've had the same pain the last day or so. I'm on Megace(sp?) to stop my periods because I have severe anemia. Looked at the calendar and this is usually the day I start my period (in fact when I got home, I had some break through spotting). Don't know if this could be the same for you. If I'm still having the pains in a day or so, I'm going to check with my doctor.
