Still waiting to feel better

Hi Sisters,
This is my 13th week of recovery. I still feel pain especially on my right side. It's the one thing that makes me regret doing the surgery. I want to stop feeling this way because what's done is done. I even went for some psychiatric help this week. I don't really want to get on antidepressants but I'm having a really hard time dealing with this painful recovery and missing my organs so much. I know that time is suppose to heal but I seem to be stuck. I want to feel like my old self again. This was suppose to make me feel better but I'm still waiting. I am sorry you are feeling this way. I am two weeks from 1 year since the surgery. It does get better. It is good that you are getting some help. Allow yourself to grieve, and try to accept the loss. I know it hit me hard the loss but i did manage to get over it. I am having more energy than I did before. I was also waiting to be back to normal and felt I would never get there, but this week seems to be a turning point for me. I am not saying that it will take that long for you but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
