I'm having my episiotomy repaired as well

As well as a hysterectomy, bladder work and something done to my bowel wall (May 29th) I don't think it's going to be too comfy sitting down! I've searched the site to see if anyone has had the same done. I was hoping for some advice.

Welcome to Hyster Sisters!! While I'm awfully sorry that you are facing surgery, I am glad that you found us and posted to introduce yourself.

I didn't have the exact same procedure done, but I did have repairs for a cystocele and a rectocele, and that involves an episiotomy-like incision. I found that a donut pillow works wonders!! It allows you to sit without all the pressure being on the areas that have been repaired.

My DD got mine at the drug store about 2 or 3 days after my surgery. If I had known, I would have gotten one for the ride home from the hospital.

Also ask your doctor whether he/she will prescribe a numbing spray, or want you to use a Peri bottle of warm water, or Tucks. I found that the Tucks helped, as did the warm water.
