dVH/RALH: Did you purchase the pocket pillow (or similar)

I'm having a dVH on Jan 25. I'm trying to stock up on sister recommended items prior to my surgery. I've already purchased colace to have on hand, and some super soft comfy pajamas to wear. I am considering purchasing the pocket pillow, or having my MIL make me one. Anyone that's had the robotic hyst. did you use a "support pillow"? And what other little things did you have that you are GLAD you had?

I used a support pillow but didn't buy a special one. A small throw pillow works just fine. I found a belly binder to be absolutely essential and you can ask the hospital if they can provide one to you. Mine did and I used it for weeks. I also bought in inexpensive body pillow which helped a lot. I could just curl myself around it and use it under my knees, my back, etc. It made getting in and out of bed, and sleeping, much more comfy.

Everyone is different. I did not purchase the pillow or binder, and never felt like I needed either, although some women swear by them. I did use a small throw pillow to hold against my tummy for coughs and sneezes. I also used a regular sleeping pillow over my abdomen when I slept for protection against my cats that wanted to walk on me.

This is really a personal choice.
