impatient and frustrated :-(

Hello. I am fairly new here, posted in the new members area awhile back to introduce myself. Today, I have been feeling more depressed, frustrated, tired, and impatient than usual. I had been waiting the last 3 months to get insurance so I could get in to have another ultrasound and find out more about what is going on with me. I've been in pain almost daily for 3 months, somedays worse than others. I think I'm on the road to hysterectomy. My biggest concern is a large complex cyst on my right ovary that I think has been there at least one year. It has me slightly worried, and I really just wish a Dr would help me end all of these issues! Frustrated because, after waiting for three long months for todays appt, nobody would tell me anything! I couldn't even get a printout of my results. Trying to patiently wait for answers!

Re: impatient and frustrated :-(

I'm sorry to hear you're having problems. It can be frustrating. My doc told me I had fibroid 3 years ago and that it was normal. So pretty much be on my way. I finally went to a GY in November and guess what. Almost every issue I'd dealt with for 5+ yrs was due to this fibroid. Very frustrating.

You have rights as a patient. Per HIPPA guidelines, you are entitled to every bit of your medical records. Just ask for them and offer to wait around for them. Hopefully they will get right to them. Good luck and I pray for the best.

Re: impatient and frustrated :-(

Thank you, Luxiana. On previous ultrasounds, I was also found to have fibroids and polyps. I'm just tired of all the pain and hassles, ready to get it all out and be done! I've been reading a lot on this site that has been very informative and helpful! :-)
have you had surgery for it?

Re: impatient and frustrated :-(

My surgery is scheduled for the 16th of this month. I'm ready - it's been quite the "pain" lately!

Hopefully, they'll get you the info that you need. It's amazing to me how many of us deal with these issues. My normal doc is a man, and I've just come to the conclusion that many of them don't understand what we're saying. Some of them are spectacular, but I've yet to find one. My GY is a woman, and she knew immediately what to look for and found the issues.

Twelve more days to go!!
