Glimmer of hope?

Well dh just called me. He called the hospital here and spoke with a guy who is the director of managed care services there. His job (from my understanding) is to help those that are having ins probs get them resolved so they can get the medical attention they need.

After dh said he told him what all has happened and what all the ins co has said, done, etc and how the doctor has called too, etc and how much pain I am in he told dh that he will make some calls and see what he can do. He told dh that what this boils down to is a ins technicality that is common for the ins co that I am covered under and there are ways to override those with the right knowledge. He told hubby that he couldn't promise anything but he would make some calls and submit some forms and see what he can do. He said he would get back with him next Monday because it will take a few days to get everything he needs. He told dh to tell me to hang in there because this isn't over.

So I hope I am not jinxing anything by telling anyone about this. I just wanted to share this with all who have been so supportive of me through this whole ordeal. I hope and pray that he can accomplish what I see as an impossible feat and get this covered so I can get the surgery and feel better soon.

I had a really bad night last night. The pain was really bad and kept me awake. As a matter of fact I got up at 3 am and went downstairs to lay on the couch and took some med but it didn't help. I just sat down by myself crying because I felt so bad and was hurting. I am so glad that dh didn't see me crying. He doesn't handle it well when I am upset and he can't fix it. He thinks it is his job to take care of me and he does a good job of it but this is out of his hands. I am very blessed to have him.

Today was also suppose to be my surgery day so that in itself has me down because I was so looking forward to it. But maybe this is a glimmer of hope that will work out. Sorry for rambling on and on......I tend to do that when I am tired.

I too will be praying that the answer comes to you. It is tough when you need the medical attention and the ins company says 'ooops sorry, no can do' I am so happy that wheels are starting to turn and that soon you can become a happy princess!!
