Re: D&C under anesthesia?

I'm having a D&C and hysteroscopy this morning under anesthetic for post menopausal bleeding and cramping. I'm a little anxious but I know I should be home by lunchtime. Having a doctor you can communicate with is so important. I only went to my gyno last week and she was lovely and put my mind at rest immediately.

I'm having a d&c and hysteroscopy this morning under anesthetic for post menopausal bleeding. It is so important to have a doctor who you trust and can communicate with. I only went to the gyno for the first time last week and she immediately put me at ease. I'm certainly anxious right now but I will be home by mid day and at least one step closer to knowing what is causing it.

Hysto aftermath.... Can you do yoga?

I am scheduled to do a hysterectomy this month with another doctor.... My previous onco-surgeon transferred me, i.e. he felt I don't have trust in him.....

Anyway, I just want to consult with other ladies to see how much their lifestyle changed after the surgery..... Do they feel differently either physically or mentally? I heard different things, such as. feeling at loss or weakened abdominal muscles, etc.

I will appreciate all thoughts and shared experiences.

Bon chance!

Re: D&C under anesthesia?

My lifestyle has not changed one bit. Other than I do take every opportunity to stop and smell the roses now! I do take every opportunity to pay it forward as I think this opened my eyes to things I had been taking for granted. Other than that...physically and mentally the same for me. Take care!

Re: Approaching the surgery, during, and after

Thank you for all the responses.... My current doctor and I decided on hysterectomy, since D&C is not 100% reliable method of diagnostics...... So, I am approaching it..... I would like to hear about more shared experiences of how you managed to compose yourself before, during, and after.... Since the uterus and other female organs contain lots of muscle tissues, how do you feel your body was affected?

Thank you!
