First recovery post

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to introduce myself and tell how my surgery went. I am Whitney I am 30 years old and I had a TAH. The overall procedure went well however they had to leave my cervix as I am 3 months past a c-section but 6 weeks behind in healing from it as I went back to work too early and wasn't aware that my insides weren't healed as I felt great.

When my doctor went in he said my bladder was like jelly and each time he tried to cut my cervix out I bled too much and it became too dangerous so they chose to stop. I now have an extended hospital stay and extra time off work. This time I will not push myself and I will allow help and rest.

I am 1 day past and my pain is more under control. The day of we couldnt get my pain under control and they put in a fentanyl drip that they had me press every ten minutes. Now I am down to just taking motrin every 6 hours. I call that a win! I have also been able to walk the hall slowly and pass gas. I am still on a liquid diet and I am ok with that for now.

I hope the rest of you are healing up great!
