Fibroids & Fatigue?

Just wanted to add, that I too had "crushing" fatigue. It really got bad last year. I had to have a nap every day and it wasn't uncommon for me to be in bed and asleep as early as 7:00 p.m. I had changed my diet a little....adding more "iron" rich foods and I started taking a multi-vitamin. I never did develop anemia to the point of needing additional iron supplements but my Doctors did tell me I was heading down that road quickly.

Fibroids & Fatigue?

Until I found this board, I had no idea that my fibroids were causing these problems for me. Like Snickers, I blamed it on so many other things, including an ex-husband and 90 minute commute to work. When I moved closer to work and still was fatigued, I thought it was the divorce and living alone. Three years down the road and it's only getting worse. I'm off to see the doctor today to discuss options because my quality of life is not what I want.

Fibroids & Fatigue?

Sorry, needed to add this......

My personal experience is that although yes I am still tired at the end of the day and some days it is worse than others. Usually, when I have really over done it. I don't have the need to take a 3 hour nap every day and I don't crash into bed exhausted "before the chickens."

Fibroids & Fatigue?

Before my SAH/BSO on 09/26 for fiboids, I would be completely exhausted. Since the surgery, I've felt very tired but it isn't the same feeling as the exhaustion I felt before.

Fibroids & Fatigue?

I know what you mean. I have been told by 2 Doctor's that I have fibroids. I am tired all the time, my back hurts all the time, and I am anemic from all the blood loss. You are not alone. :-)
