Thank you!

Hi flteach and to Hyster Sisters. You've found a wonderful website where you'll find both support and information you can actually use.

I had a TVH with posterior repair 5 years ago. While we're all different and doctors have varying approaches, I was 6 weeks off work.

For valuable information on preparing for sugery, you may want to consult the Checkpoints Just click on the link titled "Your surgery has been scheduled". The Pre-Op Articles are also filled withlots of information to help you get ready for that special day.

Hang in there, we'll be with you every step of the way.

Questions

Hi,
I had my TVH on Nov 14th ,2005.
I'm now 6 weeks post op. For me, I was tired when I got home after a 2 day stay at the castle. The first 3 days I slept alot. I started to stay awake more, but I stayed in bed and took walks around the house. I felt really good after the 3rd day. The second week I fell back into being tired again. Week 3... I was so much better with More energy. between 4 and six weeks, I feel wonderful. I still can get tired if I overdo it, so you just have to pace yourself, after all, who knows your body better then you !
Make sure you follow doctors orders and plenty of water.
Give your body a good chance to heal....You only have one chance to heal right.
My Best Wishes to you for a uneventful surgery and recovery !
