will be 4 months postop on October 16..update...

Hey everyone! It has been a while since I have posted and thought I would just pop in and give an update. It will be 4 months on October 16 since I had my LATVH with BSO.
I am still struggling with the pain and cramping on a daily basis. It is getting better but still there. I am down to taking Motrin 600mg twice a day now. I hurt inbetween times but just deal with it. I am able to do most of my housework, laundery, cooking. On days when I do my house cleaning I hurt more and will tend to take extra Motrin on those days. I always feel like I am on my period in that I have cramping off and on throughout the day most days, just now I have no bleeding. By the end of the day my poor belly looks like I am 8 months pregnant with twins. But I am progressing. I would not say on a daily basis or even a weekly basis but each month it gets a little better. I am really running out of patience with this whole thing and my husband is too I am afraid.
I had been on the vivelle patch 0.075 since surgery and a few weeks ago I took it off for a while to see how I did without it. While I never had one hotflash in the 2 weeks I left it off I did have severe joint pain that was almost unbearable. So I put the patch back on on Friday of last week and today the joint pain is almost gone. So I will be leaving the patch on for now.
I have been having some problems with my gallbladder in the last 2-3 weeks and I am praying that I do not have to have another surgery right now.
Lastly, as some of you may know intercourse had not gone too well to say the least for me after surgery. Sad to say not too much has improved in that area. I still have vaginal numbness, which my PCP says can last up to a year. I am only able to have an orgasm with outercourse now. But then I have increased cramping and soreness for several days afterwards. So what used to be having sex 5-6 times a week is now only once or twice a week. My husband is very patient for which I am grateful. I am the one who is very frustrated by this. Sex used to be a very enjoyable experience but now is not so much. I am hopeful that over time the numbness will leave and things will get better in that area.
I hope all of you ladies are doing well in your recovery and making good progress.

G. with a LATVH with BSO at age 45 found
endo, adeno, numerous fibroids 4cm and bigger both inside and outside of uterus, massive adhesions, bulging 5cm hemmoragic cysts on both ovaries, inflamed cervix, pre cancerous cells in cerivx, uterus 4 times normal size and bleeding that lasted 4 plus months non stop 24/7

I am so sorry you are still having pain and cramping. Has your surgeon given you any reasons why it is continuing? I know you must be frustrated, I will add you to my prayers.
