Numb Leg Coming Back to Life: 5 months post op

I had the Da Vinci hysterectomy almost 5 months ago. Since then, I had numbness on the right side of my right leg. Now, it's coming back. I can actually feel it now when I touch it and it twinges constantly as the nerves re-connect.

The muscle is still tender. I hope to get 100% of feeling back.

Re: Numb Leg Coming Back to Life: 5 months post op

That is wonderful! It took me 7 month to regain feeling in my cervix, as I had a DaVinci supracervical hysterectomy. I was finally able to orgasm again. It did wonders for my emotional health, and has helped my libido, as I was very discouraged with performance issues. With estrace cream I am slowly regaining sensation on the anterior wall of my vagina. I am not having clitoral orgasms, although not the multiples that I had before my hyst. If you have problems, please don't hesitate to have your hormones tested. Sometimes when the nerves come back it can actually feel like pins and needles. Just remember that although it is uncomfortable, it is an absolutely postive sign. It won't be long until you are feeling "normal" again, and that is a great self-esteem builder. Good luck on your recovery. Take good care of yourself and pamper the princess!!!
