Very Nervous

Good afternoon, Ladies! I am soooo glad that I found this site. All of the other ones that I came across seemed to be there to scare you instead of comfort you. I am scheduled to have my surgery on the 23rd of this month. I've had 3 laporoscopy's (spelling??) and I've had 2 c-sections. Is this surgery way worse than a c-section? I just don't have a clue as to what to expect. If anyone has ANY advice for me, please let me know. I would appreciate anything anyone might have to say to me. Thanks for all the comforting words and support I've found on this sight. It's GREAT.

I've heard of several different opinions on the comparision of this surgery with C-section. Some say it's easier than a C-section, some say it's harder, some say it's about the same. Since everyone is different, everyone's experience is different.

In my case, my imagination got away with me and I blew the whole thing way out of proportion. I was so scared! And I was afraid I would be bedridden for weeks, and not able to do anything for myself, but none of that happened. And now, almost seven weeks later, I'm back at work and feeling better than I have in months. This surgery was so worth it!!

Thanks for your comforting words. I'm an emotional wreck right now so I cried when I read what you wrote. I'm sure that I'll be fine. I have lots of support and new friends like you guys to help me through all of this. Thanks again!!!!!

Yeah the wondering what was going to happen was the worse. I put my surgery off for years because I was too afraid. Now at a year post-op the only thing I regret is not doing it sooner. God Bless. Read the posts and I bet in a little while you will feel less scared. We all are scared and nervous so that is normal. Just don't let it get you down too much.
