LAVH: herpes outbreak- LAVH next week

It feels like I am having my first herpes outbreak in a year & I am scheduled for LAVH next week. My pre-op appt is Friday and I'm afraid they will want to reschedule. I want this surgery done, I'm tired of bleeding all the time, even on the hormones which have slowed it down. Has anyone else with herpes run into this problem?

To set your mind at ease, perhaps you could call your today, just to be sure. I'm not familiar with how herpes outbreaks affects other medical issues, but I'm sure you aren't the first woman with this situation.

My pre-op appt is today. It seems to have cleared. I hope so! I don't want to have to postpone my surgery.

I know for me my nerves causes me to have an out break so I need to start taking my meds for it now just in case it trys to flare up. My pre-op appt. is today and you raised a question that I hadn't even thought of - thank you.

I know that I broke out in cold sores (herpes 2) right after suegery and had to start taking my meds if I had planned ahead I wouldv'e started 1 week before suegery. One less thing to worry and deal with

I have never been on meds for it. It so seldom flares up and never for long. She checked me out and things seem to be ok. We are still on for surgery on Tues. I can't wait!

i read on the internet that herpes hates ice.
and that mint tea bags steeped and frozen set on the
affected area for about 10-15 minutes 3 times a day can
help it go back into hiding.
S.O. had an issue last week......so we havent' spent a whole lot
of time together...dont wanna break out myself.....he said it worked.
good luck my surgery is the day before yours.
