Well, just updating you. I went in Fri. the 24th. Having a Hysteroscopy, D&C and Laparoscopy Myo. I haven't spoken to my doc yet, because I was out of it. But the DH said she was able to get the pedundualated fibroid on the outside but not on the inside, there were several in the inside more than what showed up on the ultrasound and MRI. I have an appointment this week to discuss, if I continue on with the UAE or the hyster. She said I should wait 4-5 weeks from this procedure first before I go on, but i can already tell the difference. Went in at 5:00 a.m. and I was home by 2:30 p.m.

I did not know my back pain was caused by the that fibriod pressing on my bladder which in turn was pressing on my spine. Some relief so far. I have a couple of small incisions and about a 3 in. one for the removal, I've had very little pain with just a little spotting, and I'm not in a hurry to get up and get moving too quickly, I don't want any problems. So I'm really taking it easy and trying to consider my next step.

I feel much better now that I've had the hysteroscopy, because that gives a better view of what is going on inside my uterus and she was able to get enough tissue for the biopsy. So I'll let you know.

Thanks for the update. It sounds like you are doing well and taking it easy - which is a good thing!

When you see your doc, be sure to ask for copies of the operative report and the pathology report. That way you can read for yourself exactly what was found - and you can look up all the medical terminology here or elsewhere on the Internet!

I hope this procedure gives you good relief. Maybe you won't need to do anything else right away.
