Anyone use something like the ON Q pain pump?

Anyone use the On Q pain pump system after surgery or something similar to it? It helps with pain in the incision site afterwards? I am scared to death of the pain afterwards because i have had bad reaction to narcotics and I am scared of pain. I will discuss it with my DR as my hysterectomy is scheduled for May 29, 2007. I have to have my uterus out and my right ovary too because it has a large growth on it. They believe it is a endometrioma, but arent 100% sure yet. They are going to try to save my left ovary. I am 36 years old. I have multiple fibroids and my uterus is about a 5 month pregnancy.

Anyone use something like the ON Q pain pump?

Hi Michelle,

I also had multiple fibroids. The pathology report didn't even give a count. There are many women here who have been able to save one ovary. I hope that works for you too.

I didn't use the On Q pain pump, but I have read where many have used it and were quite pleased with the results. Hopefully someone with some experience will be here soon to share their experience.

s and Best WIshes,
Kay

Anyone use something like the ON Q pain pump?

I used something similar for my SAH/BSO on March 7. I could push the button every 10 minutes for pain medicine to be released. It was fantastic. In fact I was resting so well that I went hours and never even needed to push the button for relief.
