you'll be glad you have one!

Hey, Princesses in waiting,
I'm 6 wks post op and I want to tell you what was the MOST
helpful for me.
Right after my surgery my DH brought home one of
those "grabber" things.
(You know, on tv commercials they call it a "gopher".)
But my husband just got something similar at the hardware store. They called it a pecan picker.

When you get home from the hospital and are in pain,
you can't bend or reach over to pick up even a dropped tv remote control without at least a little pain and possibly doing some harm to yourself.
Plus, every time I'd get a call from someone wanting to visit me,
I couldn't resist straightening the house a little bit and this was very helpful. No need to bend.
(Just be sure to keep your grabber within reach at all times.)

I hope this helps.
