Question about pre-op douche

My dr wants me to do an enema and a Betadine douche the night before (Sunday). I have been to 4 pharmacies and can not find a betadine douche. They have ones called medicated ones this is what they say has replaced the B ones and they have iodine in them. @1:30pm yesterday I called my dr's office to ask what to do and never got a call back (fuming). So Sisters my question is what to do?? I am leaning towards just getting the medicated one the pharms say is the substitute??

Generic name for Betadine douche is Povidone/Iodine Douche Solution. I would go ahead with the substitute, most likely it's just the generic.

Well, you could always do what is suggested, then save the box and bring it with you to the . If that's not what they wanted, they can have you do another betadyne douche then.

I think that MJ has a good idea. Take the box and that way they'll know for sure what you used.
I was given a Betadine douche at the hospital the morning of my surgery. Thankfully the nurse fixed it and allowed me to do it myself.
