Stomach flu found me 2 weeks before surgery :(

I thought I had dodged the germs when EVERYONE in my family was sick over the past two weeks and I had stayed healthy, but today I feel like I have been hit by a truck. I ache in my muscles and my stomach is killing. I never thought I would wish for endo pain, but today I wish it was "just" endo pain. The good news is it seems like a fast moving and it should be gone within a few days. I am scared to death to call my doctor, but I know I should call him. It helps to read some of the other posts about people getting sick before their surgery day. I know that I am not alone. Thanks for listening to my rant and I am now going back to get some more rest and 7-Up.

Re: Stomach flu found me 2 weeks before surgery :(

Awww, Kris,
Maybe some pedialyte, too.

Since I ended up in the ER a couple of days ago for dehydration, it's all that my stomach can take.
My doc. is out of town. Otherwise, I'd ask for a continuous IV drip till surgery day. Not that he'd give it, but I sure want to ask! :-)
