Re: TAH - Clothes ...

tah jan 7th...no issues putting my shirts on over my head. i wear yoga pants, t shirts and zip up hoodies. a friend of mine recommended silk pjs - she said it makes it easier to change positions in bed. i didn't have the time to pick up a pair or two
all the best!

Re: TAH - Clothes ...

I had a TAH 15 days ago and I am wearing my mums cloths yes she IS a little bigger than me by 2 sizes at most pants I got in bigger sizes anyway and bigger pjs too you need to be comfortable as the tummy really bloats up and can be uncomfortable if clothes are too tight

Re: TAH - Clothes ...

I have to admit I LOVE comfy clothes - so i will milk it for all it's worth-LOL!! haha! I did go out and got some nice warm and fuzzy pj pants that are nice and loose so that it doesn't rub on my incision- and i already have a TON of hoodies and zip up sweat shirts - but i love the idea of putting them all in one spot so you don't have to dig them out

Re: TAH - Clothes ...

Your pullover shirts will be fine, the biggest thing is you might need to get some larger sweat pants - my swelly belly put me out of my regular pants for a few weeks and now my normal pants fit but only during part of the day, the evening they are too tight. I haven't tried jeans yet but I haven't wanted to, I like softer clothes anyway, especially with the swelly belly, which for me has been bad, sometimes it's easier on others.

Comfy jammies, comfy pants, just make sure you are super comfortable, and feel good in what you are wearing. I got a size bigger PJs to take to the hospital too - one set of pants/shirt and one nightgown, in the hospital it's easier to be in your nightgown, at least I found it was because it's hard ot pull your pants up and down, it's so much easier to not do that!

Re: TAH - Clothes ...

im im 10 days post op now.
I actually went to a local thrift store and bought yoga pants a size bigger and sweats with no elastic in the waist. i bought tshirts a size bigger just in case for comfort. didnt spend but 12 dollars on 9 items. it was well worth it.
When im done w/them I will either wash in Hot or give em away.
