Regarding pregnancy after hysterectomy here's a post-op article related to that topic Pregnancy after Hysterectomy .
Your intestines will fill in the space where your uterus used to be, remember that it really is the size of a pear (if not enlarged). So if there were was enlargement your organs are just taking their rightful space back. I felt mine move around for quite awhile (used my tummy pillow to support it so that I didn't feel it as much) until they found their final spot.
Some Dr.s will tack the bladder (not a bladder sling) or support it with other ligaments.
Same for the vaginal vault (what the vagina with a vaginal cuff is now called) they will attach it to the ligaments that supported the uterus to delay or put-off prolapse.
Yes bladder, vaginal and intestinal prolapses are possible after a hysterectomy. They are possible before a hysterectomy as well.
I hope that helps with some of the questions.

Thank you for answering this question as I was wondering myself. I have been feeling this move around a bit, its weird really as when I get my BM and gas pains ( I have IBS) they used to go down my left side but now I feel them in the place where my period pains were and they feel a bit worse kinda like contractions lol they are relieved though as soon as i pass gas or have a BM.

Re: So, where does everything else go?
I am an OB technician. Im in the medical field too, in surgery and see our uterus, ovaries, and entire abdomine. I thought when I was having my hysterectomy that it would be a hollow hole up inside: It is amazing, we know so much at our job and in our profession, but when it comes to our own bodies, when we go through something like this, we know NOTHING. Thanks for sharing your story.

Re: So, where does everything else go?
The anesthesiologist put me on hold because I had had both an EKG and an ECHO just weeks before. They had to track down my primary care doctor's office to get the results sent over. They really don't want to take any chances of your heart being damaged or having something scary/bad happening while you're under. I have a hereditary weak valve that occasionally flutters while I'm just laying around, but everything checked out ok for me.

Re: So, where does everything else go?
My dr. told me that everything would move around in there and fill in the space.

Just wondering, is being clumsy and losing your balance , and tripping over things part of the recovery or not?

Re: So, where does everything else go?
my dr said that all the organs are intertwined already, so when the uterus, ovaries and cervix are taken out, that space just taken up by intestines and bladder... we're not just left with an empty hole below our bellybutton...

with my two cats resenting the fact that I've returned to work...yes. Also allergies affecting inner ear can do it.
