Pre-op//yesterday.....Surgery//tomorrow...the waiting is ALMOST over
Pre-op went well. My is WONDERFUL! I feel so blessed to have him. The #@*&@# nurse butchered getting blood from me. I look like I have a heroin problem! Sooo bruised..she blew a vein..lovely. NOT
We bring the girls to mom's tonight and get them settled. That will be the hard part. I know that I will have a when I leave them. I am very attached to them and being away from them, even for a little while will be really hard.
I now KNOW that the waiting IS the worst part. Just getting my pre-op done, I feel like a new person! There is actually excitement setting in that I won't be in pain much longer--at least not THIS pain.
I only have a few things that I am going to do around the house today. Other than that, the girls and I are going to make cookies for my DH and do a Thanksgiving craft. Pack the rest of their stuff and just be together.
Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. I don't think that I could have gotten this far without you.
I won't be back til the Monday after Thanksgiving. Am staying with my mom til the Friday after. Then I will be back as a punctured !! WOO HOO!
IN HIM,
Dawn <><

Pre-op//yesterday.....Surgery//tomorrow...the waiting is ALMOST over
Dear Dawn:
You sound more than ready and prepared to get this show on the road :
The very best of luck to you. I hate to "beat a dead horse" but the waiting is very much the hardest part.
See you on the post op side!
Betty
PS-I am originally from the great Commonwealth state of VA, Chesapeake to be specific, although I live in FL now.

Good luck!
Dawn,
I'm two weeks after you, so I'll be looking for your posts when you get home.
Best of luck! The waiting is horrible, isn't it? After all the anticipation, you just know it can't be as bad as we imagine!

Pre-op//yesterday.....Surgery//tomorrow...the waiting is ALMOST over
Hi Dawn,
Great to hear that you are all ready for the big day! I too found pre-op great, in fact almost comforting. They are great staff they get to do those...0ouch...except for the blood nurse in your case.
I think its that pre-op brings it right into reality that this is really happening, so its a case of....lets get the show on the road and get it overwith. I really felt good after pre-op as well.
Best of luck to you!!
Look forward to reading your castle story when you return home from your moms. Moms are great pamperers!! so rest, rest , rest and let the pampering begin!
Hugs
Maria

Dawn
Mate nearly there and you are so right waiting is so the worst part. Those kids of yours are going to have a whole new Mum. You will be feeling like a new person and all that trouble will be behind you.
My very best wishes for an uneventful surgery and a smooth recovery. Be pamperd and rest waiting for you on the other side and wqiting to hear how it goes. Take care and good luck.
Love and Hugs Vicki
