Questions about anemia

Prior to surgery for my large fibroid and adenomyosis,
I was anemic from the loss of blood due to very heavy
bleeding,even hemmorhaging. When I was on depo-provera
shots to stop all periods, my iron level was good.So,
in my case, the anemia was from the heavy loss of
blood. Now, after surgery, my iron level remains good.
Funny that you should mention that anemia can affect
thyroid. I don't know whether or not that is the case.
However, when I read about cold hands and feet, I
immediately wondered if it was thyroid. Have you had
your blood levels for thyroid checked?

I have the same exact symptoms - the fatigue is unreal. No amount of Dunkin Donuts coffee will wake me up either! (
He recently put me on Iberet, which is a slow release folic acid.
It upset my stomach terribly so I just take it right before I go to bed and sleep through any side effects. I've had ICE cold feet and hands forever.........I had NO idea it was from anemia. See, the things I learn from my fellow HysterSisters........it's fantastic! Here's a helpful hint: (and/or trick ) - when you get into bed put your freezing tootsies on the back of your husband's calves. They LOVE that .
