Laparoscopic hysterectomy 3 days ago and very itchy vagina

Hi everyone,

I'm new here and I just had my surgery. It was laparoscopic and supposed to also be a vaginal lift. She went to begin the lift and discovered if she did that, my vagina would be very narrow so she stopped. I was told that there were stitches in my vagina but that I didn't need to be careful about washing the area. However, I am finding that I'm getting progressively itchier. Plus, when I look in the area, I see 3 very red bumps. I think there is a tiny bit of discharge but it is not white. I'm not sure what is going on. It feels like it could be a yeast infection but it does not look that way. Anybody have any ideas? I'm just trying not to freak out right now.
Thanks.

Could be the healing itchies.
As you heal you can feel all itchy but its just tissues healing.
If it continues or gets worse or you start to have discharge that is worrying then definitely talk to your doctor.
Might be an idea to see if there is any wash that your doctor can recommend to help the itchies.
Hope it passes
Take care

Is it possible that you might be allergic to the dissolving sutures? With the bumps I'd suggest calling the doctor and letting them know the discomfort you are having.

An antihistamine like benadryl might tie you over until you can contact your doctor. My vagina did not like the stitches.
