2 wks post op skin dryness

Hi gals,
I'm 2 weeks post op and have noticed an overall dryness to all of my skin. Is this hormonal? My face, arms, legs, hands ect all seem drier than pre op. Same soap laundry detergent etc so it isnt that. Just wondering if I'm strating to see hormonal changes....thanks

I'm 1 week post-op and am noticing the same thing. I still have my ovaries, so I was thinking that maybe my body was directing all its energy to healing, and had less energy, vitamins, and such for regular skin maintenance.

I am 3 weeks out tomorrow and have very flaky dry skin as well. I thought it was from the anesthesia and the morphine. I remember being very itchy in the hospital. That stuff can take awhile to get completely out of your system. I have one remaining ovary and seem to be on track hormonally. But if you had both ovaries removed I suppose that also could be a factor.

Hi everyone! I hope all of you are having a speedy recovery I read that dry and sometimes itchy skin can be a sign of menopause; so considering we are all going through hormonal changes, I woudn't be surprised this was the reason.
