Re: Ups and downs 18 days out??

Yes, yes! Around 3 weeks, the boredom and frustration are really setting in and it feels like 2 steps forward 1 step back, or even 3 steps back some days. I hd no idea how long it would take and somehow thought I might be back at work in 2 weeks - with an abdominal! Ha!

If you feel well enough try to get out a bit and do something nice for yourself. It's a long haul and my emotions go all over the place. It's better now that my incision is healed and I am getting out for walks. Getting out into the sunshine has been the best thing for me.

Better days are ahead, take care.

I am almost 4 weeks post op and I have my good days/bad days. I have more bad days than good, but I also know that this will pass. I have to take it day by day. I also my Doctor put me on paxil for depression. The have been studies done by doctor that show that paxil helps womem with menopause. These women on here are wonderful and suggest the best for you. We are here for you and your not alone. Sending prayers your way!

Re: Ups and downs 18 days out??

Mood changes here too. Finding I am not eating anything like I used to. I would snack all day and that feeling has gone now.

I have mood changes at times and bawl my eyes out in bed. I think it shocks hubby as I am usually the in control one.

We've had so much happen I think stress is half my issue though.

Paternal aunt has ovarian and breast cancer. Two separate primaries. Three chemo rounds, massive surgery and now has developed abdominal pains and breathlessness

Hubby back injury needing possible surgery

Me....third surgery for me since may

Mum....just had Total hip replacement at age 62

Friend....diagnosed this morning stage IV endo cancer.

Re: Ups and downs 18 days out??

Give yourself time to heal. Things turn around at weeks six to eight. You are doing the right thng, it takes self discipline to do it, but it is worth it in the long run. Pamper the lol!

Re: Ups and downs 18 days out??

3 weeks post for me. The crying started today. Was talking on the phone to one of my bosses and told him I wanted to quit my job (which I LOVE)....but also told him that I am hormonally whacked out and will NOT make any life changing decisions at this time.

That's key....just like PMS, don't make any life changing decisions when you're feeling this way (all hormonal). Don't quit your job, make huge purchases, or throw your kids out of the house! (ha)
