A Pleasant Diversion

Spent most of the day with my mom trying to wrap up my pre-surgery shopping. Don't know why I think my DH can't buy laundry detergent unsupervised. I did pick up some new sweatpants and a cool T-shirt to wear to the Castle. At the end of the day when I was leaving my mom's house I got a bit weepy, she reassured me (again) and said you guys should go out and see a movie tonight. I drove home sniffling a bit still and thought...I am tired I still have so much to do. When I got home I grabbed the paper and said let's go to the movies! We went to see a horror/comedy called Shaun of the Dead. The DH and I both have a dark sense of humor so we loved it. We had some popcorn and a very good time. Bless my mom, she's always right.

So for all you Ladies in Waiting out there, believe me I know that the waiting is terrible and at times it can seem you will never get everything you need to get done, done. But.....take some time out for a diversion of your choice, whether it be a nice dinner a movie or a walk in the park. It really does help.

Good for you I agree that taking a bit of time to do something that you enjoy is a great help in passing the waiting time.

Hey look a fellow Oklahoma gal.
Waiting is the most terrible part, I do believe. I had my TVH/BSO on 9-21. But then it will be over before you know it. Then it will be time to heal.
