Today is exactly three months from when I had my surgery. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what is "normal" at this point in recovery. I am so tired most of the time, no matter how I sleep, and I was wondering how long this would last. I also still have the swelly belly. I have had acid reflux for about ten years now, and it seems like it's coming back again, but worse. I tried taking Prilosec, which I've taken before, but it didn't seem to be doing much good. I also saw on the internet that one of the possible side effects of Prilosec is bloating and excess gas. I spoke to my GP and he has now put me on Prevacid. I hope this helps quickly as it feels like the acid reflux is raising my blood pressure occasionally. (Sometimes I can feel a little pressure behind my ears and right below them.) I don't know if it is possible for acid reflux to affect blood pressure or not. I have also had anxiety at times, but I think that it might be due to the temporary "spikes" in my blood pressure.

Thanks for the tip

Thank you for the information. I will definitely go there today. Also, thanks for the words of encouragement. I am glad that I found this site. I have learned a lot, and it helps to know that I am not alone in some of the things that are going on during my recovery.
