Re: 1 week post op low grade fever

I had terrible pain after my DaVinci as well. I was on meds for the first couple of weeks. Have you been up on your feet a lot or maybe walked to far today? As far as the fever, I don't know what constitues a fever after surgery. I'd think anything over 100*, but if you are worried a call to the Dr tomorrow wouldn't hurt, if for no other reason than to ease your mind. Do you have some pain medication that you can take? Do you still have your appendix?

I do still have my appendix and do have pain meds but doesnt seem to be easing the pain. I hate feeling helpless with all the changes.

Re: 1 week post op low grade fever

I would call the Dr then and tell him/her what's going on. Maybe they can fit you in just to make sure you don't have an infection brewing. Have them give you a new Rx for a different pain med. The only thing that worked for me for the first week was Percocet, the pain was really bad.

Call your Dr asap! I had a low fever and the next day woke up in extreme pain with a bad infection. It really was miserable.

I'm glad you were smarter than me. I waited a day and was hospitalized because the infection was so bad after waiting one day!

Good! I hope the antibiotics kick in and the new pain meds help you get through it.
