No Shaving! Pre-op suggestions

I'm one week post op and wanted to share a few suggestions with future princesses...First, my whole experience has gone so well it has, at times, seemed like a party, with gifts, food, flowers, visits, pampering and so many well wishes. Second, two things you might consider. I asked my doctor for no shaving (TVH) and she agreed! I was quite astounded! You might see what your doctor would say. Also, I bought a portable CD player and asked the recovery staff to put my headset on with my favorite classical flute CD (lively but relaxing) as I was coming out. It helped me alot to get oriented following surgery. I continued to play my CD's ( a variety for different moods from nature relaxing to gospel uplifting) for most of the next 24 hours softly to help me relax and tune out things that I didin't want to focus on, like getting blood drawn or catheter out for example. Ladies, breathe deeply, relax, and go forward! Peace to each of you.

You are so right. Someone suggested the music & portable CD and it was a blessing in the hospital. I tuned out and it really helped me relax to my favorite tunes. We share teh same birthday in the castle. I hope you are taking it easy with your recovery as well.
