getting someone to stay with you?

I'm having a TAH (hope to avoid the BSO, that's the plan) and hubby will stay at home with me over the weekend. Depending on how I feel, he will judge when to go back to work. Our 15 yr old son will be here to help with household stuff. My parents will be coming up also. It's really going to depend on how I'm doing as to what we will do.

It never fails, though - just as you drift off to sleep, the phone rings !!!!

I also agree with everyone's thoughts. Fortunately my Mom was able to stay with me 4 weeks (her insistence until I had my 4 week post-op visit), returning home on weekends when my husband is off work. I have a 2 year old, so it was really nice being able to fully concentrate on recovery & not worry about picking my toddler up all the time & caring for her. I must admit breakfast in bed & clean sheets weekly were a nice bonus too! At the end of the 4 weeks when I was "cleared." I was most appreciative of my Mom's help as she allowed me to take the best possible care of myself ... something that would have been difficult with a 2 year old.
