Fibroid or am I just getting fat?

I am glad that you can see some humour in it all too. Thats a real good attitude!! I don't know how many I have I think its just one.

Yes, it helps to be light at times about it....not always easy.

How long have you had this fibroid?

I have only known about it for about 2yrs, It had been 4 yrs ( silly me I know) since I had had a pap. We moved house and It took a while to get a Dr too. So not sure how long before that. I started with sciatica 3 yrs ago and think that is possibly when it started to affect me. Two yrs ago it measured 8cm, 5cm,6cm. Not sure if that is equvilant to a 14 wk size uterus. I think its to my belly button now, but hard to tell, I am carrying a few more pounds than normal.

So you are having a hysterectomy because of the fibroid...

I have had these things about 17 years...and will be glad to be rid of them

That sounds like quite a fibroid you have there. Perhaps you should name it.

Oh, I think I have this too. 16 cm fibroid and the weirdest bulge over my belly button. I've never been pregnant, so I'm not familiar with how the uterus stretches and grows. I'm scheduled for a LSH on November 12, and honestly, I can't wait. I'm on my second to last massive period...YAY! And I'm bleeding profusely, taking Repliva to rebuild iron, and passing clots the size of kittens!! Looking forward to the end of this situation, and very hopeful that all will go well.

I think there actually is a thread somewhere where people named their fibroids...I came across it and thought I am glad I am not the only one...ha

I am naming all mine F names it goes so well with Fibroid...the largest I am calling Frankenstein...the next one Fatima...and so on.
