3 weeks post hysterectomy: Extreme bladder pain?!?

I had my hysterectomy on July 7 (3 weeks ago tomorrow). Two weeks post-op I developed the most extreme pain I have ever felt. About 30 seconds after I would urinate my bladder and right ovary would feel like they where cramping/burning. The pain had my doubled over. I went to the ER and they ruled out an UTI, cyst, appendicitis...basically they had no idea what was causing the pain. They inserted a catheter (I have had one off and on for a week now) and sent me home. My doctor finally decided to go back in and found my ovary had attached itself to my bladder so he separated them. I was able to urinate pain free that entire day, however the exact same pain came back that night. I went back to the ER, they gave me another catheter, and I am still attached to it. I am a mother to two beautiful children under the age of 4 so being attached to this catheter has been awful. I just can't do it any more (emotionally or physically). Have any of you experienced this?!? Does it EVER get better? Or will I be dependent on a catheter for the rest of my life? Is there medication that can help? Please help!!!

Re: Extreme bladder pain?!?

I am 8 weeks out and it is starting to hurt whenever I pee, especially after I am almost done. But, it is nothing like you are experiencing. Praying they find you an answer sooner rather than later. Can't imagine the same thing happening but I would definitely keep after the doctor until he remedies it.
