Exhausted and can't get warm

It's been a crazy first week and 1/2 of recovery for me. My 15 yr. old son ended up with a bad virus and fever that has kept him home from school the whole time! Guess who's been the nurse? I wasn't going to drive yet but yesterday I had to rush him to the pediatrician and he ended up in the walk-in for blood work and xrays...more driving and then the pharmacy...the list goes on. He has been very ill but I'm really not up to doing what I've been doing. Husband at work all day and I'm so tired I can't stand up. Today I'm lying in bed trying to get warm and I can't! My nails are blue and I took my temp and it said 96 degrees. I'm seriously cold and uncomfortable. I have eaten breakfast and gone to the br so I know my systems are functioning. Could I have done any internal damage with all my rushing around yesterday? How do I know and what would it feel like? Last night I had serious belly pain and lots of gas which I haven't been having. Need help but dont know who to ask...

Re: Exhausted and can't get warm

Can you call you doctors office? Mine said to call if I got cold chills. I used lots of layers of thin blankets (so thy were lightweight) and tried to find a sunny spot to lay in. Get warm and get rest. If that doesn't work call the doctir's office and talk to the nurse or doctor. Sending warm thougths your way

Re: Exhausted and can't get warm

I get cold flashes along with the hot flashes. I don't know if that's what you're experiencing but there are times where no matter what I do my body is so cold. I usually have them during the day and the hot feelings at night. I'm at 6 weeks and still have them. I was anemic before surgery but now my levels are good so it can't be that but I've also read of other "sisters" feeling the same way. Stay warm!!
