Holey Moley...

I am scheduled for TLH on September 19th. It's already had to be rescheduled once. Here's my dilema...

My daughter and I have both been coughing, feeling icky, etc. I took my daughter to see her pediatrician today, and what do you know? She's got an upper respiratory infection, and was placed on antibiotics and is home from school. I have the exact same symptoms..fever, cough, sore throat, achy, etc. My primary care dr has referred me to my surgeon to see what she wants to do about my situation.

Have any of you other ladies had something pop up like this before? Have you had to take antibiotics so close to surgery, and how was your outcome?

I am panicking....I WANT this surgery....NOW. I've been so miserable for so long. It was originally scheduled for Aug 29th, but was postponed to the 19th of this month.

Any ideas, words of wisdom, hugs, etc greatly appreciated. I'm waiting on my Surgeon's nurse to call me back currently.

Update: My surgeon's nurse called me back, and said I HAVE to see my dr, since I probably need a strep culture, and to listen to my lungs, etc. I called my Primary back, going to see them today. I figure he'll go ahead and put me on antibiotics since my daughter was. Wish me luck!!

Feel better soon! Antibiotics work quickly, so hopefully you will be just fine.
