Re: Cuff?

Hi Debifosta,
Sometimes when I pee I think I can feel some pain at what I imagine is the cuff - it feels very deep inside, and not a usual place that I feel anything, if that makes sense. I had a TVH 2 weeks ago and am seeing my doctor this week for the first post-op, I'm guessing she will take a look? Hope that helps..

Re: Cuff?

This isn't twinges 😞. It may just be swelling going down (fingers crossed) but it feels like something is stuck there?? I may be getting paranoid as I've bled a bit more last couple of days, nothing heavy but a brighter pink x

Re: Cuff?

I'm about 3.5 weeks post op from (trachelectomy which is cervix removed) and I swore I could feel the stitches poking me and when I went for my post op last week my doctor trimmed them a little. I still get twinges, shooting pains, deep deep pains, all sorts of weird things but she says its all normal.

Re: Cuff?

I was wondering if cuff granulation can give a strange sensation? I'm subconsciously aware of the feeling all the time x

Re: Cuff?

I did have some granulation and the doctor treated it. I have not had any bleeding since. I wouldn't say I had bleeding to begin with but it was bright pinkish and not a whole lot. I can definitely feel stuff in that area though. I just know I can LOL

Re: Cuff?

I am 1 month behind you and also had a TAH/BSO. I can not sleep laying flat yet and have pressure and numbness, sorry I do not know about the cuff yet but if I start to feel it I will definitely let you know. I do have pressure where the cuff should be (at least where i think it is...) If the bleeding increases or does not go away I would call my doctor, I think I would call regardless hope you feel better soon!!

Re: Cuff?

Frecklez thank you, maybe it is granulation.
Greysee the numbness and pressure does become less. And as for lying flat, if u mean on tummy it comes and great when it does. I found myself waking through the night just laid on mine. The one thing I find from week to week is the experience of different sensations, and not knowing if they are normal or to be expected and I find that disconcerting
