3 days post hysterectomy and I feel really good

I have been sleeping a lot - an hour up and an hour down during the day. Once I "pooped" the gas went away and I didnt need narcotics any more, that happened yesterday. So I am taking motrin, regular vitamins etc. , and lovenox for 30 days (previousl clotting issues around knee replacement - I dont think this is standard). Poor tummy !
I am alternating big ice pad and heating pad which I think helped with having bowel movement.
I have been alone a couple times - hubby went to fireworks and is at church but showered each day while he was home. Church friends have been bringing dinners and sisters have come for visits. Easy to say "sleep time" to them!
Visiting daughter left me with home-made bread and ice cream, both are starting to sound pretty good so I must be on the mend.
Grateful to docs who feel all cancer was removed and no further treatment necessary. Staples from several incisiions get removed next week. Doc said that patient's attitude was even felt in O.R. - so be positive, trust yourselves, say yes to help. Lots of hard stuff, but important! THANK YOU for everyone whose story I read and progress I followed. It helped so much!
