Stomach Soreness

Hello to all of you stuck in the house like me!!!!!!!

I had my TAH on May 4th and am experiencing more pain in my stomach this week than last. Had severe episode day before yesterday with terrible gas and constipation, but this problem has gotten better. However, my stomach is still SO sore (not around incision). Now, when I go to bathroom to do both ways, I feel an enormous amount of pressure and pain. Is this normal???

I have also been feeling slightly nauseous for the past two days. Hope this isn't a result of the hormones (premarin).

Would love to hear from anyone that feels like responding.

Stomach Soreness

I too had a similair pain in my stomach. Hard to describe, but kind of like a burning, maybe a bad sunburn, very tender. It feel like it is on top of the skin, but obviously it is inside. Hope this makes sense! It is getting better everyday, almost gone now. Because it is getting better, I am assuming it is part of the healing process.

Famous last words, if you are worried it is more than the healing process call your Doc!

Stomach Soreness

I'm sorry that you are having pains. Remember you just had MAJOR SURGERY and it is going to take a while for your body to adjust to the trauma that it went through. I also had a TAH and still am having some soreness in my stomache and I am 9 weeks post op. It's getting better but eventually it will go away according to my doc. Continue to take it easy and do only what your body tells you it can do. Please don't overdo it you are still so early in the recovery process. Good Luck!
