Why can't I remember? How about you?

I was in recovery for six hours and had a milkshake, I remember how good it tasted. But it had pineapple chunks and then I felt sick and they begged me not to get sick cause I wouldn't be able to get to a private room if I threw up. So i waited and threw up twice after I got to the room. I don't remember but little bits here and there until like two days AFTER I got home. I remember the pain in my back as soon as I woke up and crying out and them being frustrated becasue they coudln't find my dr to get me a different pain med. Other than that, I was in la la land

DRUGS....

Why can't I remember? How about you?

I remember everything - they wouldn't give me anything to relax prior to surgery so I remember all of the pre op waiting room and then remember waking up in recovery in alot of pain and begging the nurse to let me go to my room. Got to the room and told the nurse the morphine pump wasn't enough, she got me a shot of something else and the two together were awesome. I went home the end of the next day. I didn't doze in and out like most the first day, seemed to be wide awake the entire time and only slept a little during the night.

Why can't I remember? How about you?

wow oaklahoma ! I was so tired after surgery, I could not keep my eyes open !
I know that I hate morophine now ! There's got to be something that works well and doesn't make me feel like I was ran over by a truck.
I guess I won't worry about remembering things. Im just glad it's over !

I know how you feel

I know exactly how you feel. I remember going into the surgery, but don't remember anything after for at least the first 2 days after surgery. They had me on morphine for the first day and a half. Sometimes I have flash backs to things I think happened, but don't really know if they happened.
