Invention needed *pray*

Can someone please invent something waterproof that will not let water go into the Vajajay. I desperately need to soak in a tub of water. I have arthritis and body aches and need this. This will probably be a good product for post hysterectomy. Right about now, I want a hot tub of water.

(((Tanbony)))

For some, the wait until you can feels like forever!

Have you talked to your doctor about some remedies for your body aches? You might be able to try something different right now during recovery and/or your surgeon may offer some tips for how he would allow you to bathe in order to provide relief for the arthritis issues. Sometimes doctors have to weigh the pros and cons of one issue against the pros and cons of another and make a decision that is best for you and your specific circumstances. That said, unless your doctor okays it, do avoid bathing.

I can share what I did during my recovery to ease my aches and pains. I put a short stool in the shower. Then, I sat on the stool and using the hand held shower head, I would let the water run all over my body. Generally, I emptied the hot water tank of all hot water! But, it did help a bit!

in there!

Re: Invention needed *pray*

I was told there was no restriction of showering or bathing when I left the hospital. I didn't bathe immediatly but I did probably about 10 days post op. How long was everyone else told to wait?

Re: Invention needed *pray*

I took a shower in the hospital. They simply covered my incisions with plastic. That was the only time that was done. Other than that I showered daily with no restrictions. I also had a DvH.

Re: Invention needed *pray*

Showering is fine, but bathing in the tub is usually not allowed for 4-6 weeks depending on the type of surgery and incisions. There can definitely be restrictions on hot tubs and swimming pools, too.

I haven't used a hot tub or swimming pool. I will not bathe anymore. I did it once. I hope that it doesn't cause any problems

Re: Invention needed *pray*

I too was restricted after my Dvh from the bath for 2 weeks, and like you - desperately needed a good soaking! I put a very small step stool - the good ole' rubbermaid kind - into my bathtub and filled the water up as far as I could, then sat on the stool, so that nothing got "in there" - it was make-shift, but it helped! I was cleared at my 2 week check-up for a bath! I won't even express how wonderful that was! Came home and straight into the bathtub I went!

Re: Invention needed *pray*

I'm take your advice about the stool in the tub. One of my kids will be short a chair...lol. I have had body aches for so long that sometimes body soaks is the onlythingthat will do the job. I had the DVH and was told no baths until after my 6week check up.

Re: Invention needed *pray*

I was told explicitly by my doctor, her cover, and two RNs that I must not swim or get in a bath or in any other way submerge my incision or vagina in water. I have RA and so I rely on warm baths to help with aches and pains. My hubby bought me one of those shower chairs and I have used it four days in a row. Its a life saver
