MORTIFIED! I have a Da Vinci question...

the pre admissions nurse told me to come in a half hour early to get measured! What all do they measure and how? My surgery is Monday so this is my last day of food I think we need to go out. Yay!

Not sure what they would be measuring. I had Davinci and didn't have anything measured.

Thats strange. They didn't measure anything on me. Maybe she mis spoke?

Blood pressure, etc measurements???

She indicated that it was because it's a"robotic" surgery. I guess I'll take her up on her offer to call back with any questions

I would call and ask, I had da Vinci and didn't have any measuring done except the normal blood pressure, blah blah...
Also, why is this your last day of food? I splurged a little the day before because I knew I wouldn't be up to eating anything substantial for the next few days...

I'm supposed to have only clear liquids Sunday. Should be great!! O_o

Oh... I was allowed to eat whatever the day before but had to do the colon cleanse after dinner and nothing after midnight. Good luck Monday, thoughts and prayers your way!

Make sure you drink lots of liquids ... I also had to do the clear liquid diet and ended up with a bad headache the night before and right before I went into surgery ... I assume its from not staying hydrated enough.... Good luck with ur surgery ! And I had the Da Vinci and did not need to get measured for anything lol ...

I was not measured for anything. Are you unusually large or unusually small? I was on clear liquids after my breakfast on the day before surgery and started my miralax bowel prep at 5. Good luck to you in your prep and your surgery. And I agree...drink plenty! You will be getting rid of lots of it!
